Visit the Pennsylvania School of Technology in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, and prepare for a day of chocolate, chocolate, and more chocolate! Your first encounter with chocolate will be a dessert demonstration class. A chocolatier from the school’s culinary arts program will lead the class with several members of your tour group acting as assistants. The topic will be “Chocolate Lovers Trio” and feature chocolate orange mousse tarts, chocolate espresso decadence bites, and Bailey’s Irish cream chocolate shooters. Then it’s off for a tour of the school itself. Affiliated with Pennsylvania State University, the School of Technology’s School of Hospitality/Culinary Arts program is a bastion for academic majors that lead to rewarding careers in the food and hospitality industry. Following your tour you will have lunch at Le Juene Chef, the school’s teaching restaurant. Decorated in a neo-classic and elegant style, Le Juene Chef promises you a fine dining experience. It has been the recipient of Wine Spectator magazine’s “Best of Award of Excellence” for the past seven years, and students who have practiced their skills in the restaurant have been selected for competition in the International Culinary Olympics. It is currently managed by Einar H. Sigurdsson, a native of Iceland, whose credentials include The Lodge at Pebble Beach in California, the Oahu Country Club in Hawaii, and the Sleepy Hollow County Club in Westchester, NY. Your lunch will include one of the chocolate desserts from your class―your second encounter with chocolate. Your afternoon concludes with a one-hour narrated cruise on the Susquehanna River aboard the Hiawatha Paddlewheeler, reminiscent of the time gone by when the Susquehanna was the area’s primary means of transportation, and Williamsport, nicknamed “The Lumber Capital of the World,” had more millionaires per capita than any other place on earth. On board you will have your third encounter with chocolate a chocolate martini.

The tour includes deluxe motorcoach transportation, dessert demonstration class, tour of school, lunch,
and cruise.
