Follow in the footsteps of the five Doan brothers and their cousin who terrorized Bucks County during and immediately after the American Revolutionary War. Relive the infamous exploits and daring acts of this gang of thieves who wove their way into the annuals of local history. Learn how its leader, Moses Doan, may have prevented Washington’s victory at the Battle of Trenton and how the gang’s successful robbery of the county treasury led to its demise. You will see the site of the ancestral family farm, the outlaws’ birthplace, the family’s place of worship, the burial places of three of the outlaws, frequent hideouts, locations of the outlaws’ most successful robberies, the site of the former jail where members of the gang masterminded several bold attempts, and the graves of William Kennedy and Robert Gibson, members of the posse that killed Moses Doan.
